It was so powerful. I laughed and cried, and got to know things about my daughter and myself that I didn’t realize before. How wonderful to just learn how to relate to each other as mom and daughter, and as friend and ally. The workshop absolutely changed our relationship into something so much better than it was before.
A couple of months later, my daughter was asking when we could do this again!

Resilience: An ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change
For those of us with girls coming into (or in) their “tween” years, change is the norm, and BIG change is about to come. Many of us fear that our relationships will suffer and that our girls will be swept away by peer pressure and media influence. We find ourselves being asked questions that we’re not quite sure how to answer or others that tap into our own unresolved issues.
Research reveals that among the most important factors in making adolescent girls resilient are close connections to family, and assertive female role models. Building that connection and being that role model aren't always natural or instinctual, and many of us can use help along the way.
The Mother-Daughter workshop series is designed to help you and your daughter build communication skills, develop deeper bonds over finding one’s womanhood, and provide the space for you to have fun and enjoy each other for who you already are.
All things are possible when we speak from our hearts and open our minds to the beauty of the women and girls around us, and the women/girls we are inside.
